Calling out to all Korean Food Lovers (even to those who are not!)…
This is an ALERT! The Koreans has INVADED! And PenangTuaPui has gone into madness…the Korean Food Madness that is. The frenzy TuaPuis are into Korean and BBQ and more BBQ! What not when another Korean Restaurant joining in the crowd within Bayan Lepas area.

Of course I am referring to new Korean restaurant stationed at Kristal Point…the Korea Palace, 2nd outlet after Tanjong Tokong. Being the 3rd restaurant within the industrial area after Chou Shun Kan and DAORAE, have you ever wonder what is the specialty that Korea Palace has to deliver in order to stand up within its competitors.
From Chou Shun Kan authentic BBQ to the first-rate hospitality of DOARAE, come and join PTP to discover this new restaurant in the neighborhood when we visited them the day after the grand opening on 11th November 2009.

PenangTuaPui, as usual, being exceptionally hungry for foods ordered 4 main dishes to feed our big appetite - Pork belly with red pepper paste sauce (RM30), Pork meat with soy sauce (RM30), Spicy mixed meat and vegetable stew (RM50) and Pancake with green onion and seafood (RM30).

The side dishes (pan chan/ban chan) were served first. Guess the carnivores had to savor these before their meat dishes arrives.

Kimchi Cabbage – This is the traditional Kimchi cabbage, a must have for every Korean food.

Kimchi Radish – A crispy radish marinated with kimchi.

Fried Ikan Bilis (Anchovies) with garlic/peanut – We concluded that this is one of our favorite side dish. Huat Koay kept asking for refills J

Pickled Lotus Root – Another side dish which we liked, it has a slightly salty taste.

Spinach.

Asparagus – It has a little spiciness yet crispy.

Broccoli with dipping sauce – A unique dish of steamed broccoli.

Bean sprouts – A simple dish of bean sprout

Looks like Korea Palace has finally set up another branch…very convenient for the people around the area especially the FTZ.
yes.. CK…. we dont need to travel so far to get them, now it is so near to us
korean invasion indeed! it’s so funny that korea palace opened a new outlet in crystal point, and daorae went over to tanjung bungah! but it’s all good! more choice for the consumer
wa… your photo quality is supreme la…..
make me drool….
i have to get my wife there to try out then..
Hi Lingzie:
That create a healthy competition which we as a consumer would love to see. More competition get better and quality food and service to us.
yeah, i saw the Daorae while on the way to Tg Bungah the other day. Good thing to see more and more Korean outlets opening in Penang.
Fui Yoh ! Penang having Korean Food Frenzy nowadays ….. So many suddenly mushroom up ….
hi j2kfm and Ken,
yes… more and more option for us to dine and to know and to appreciate the Korean Food.
I had tried the one at the Tanjung Bungah… still meeting the expectation, now they have another brunch here, easier for me to visit them.
btw, any special discount in conjunction of the opening?
the hairy leave is the most scary part i had, no more next time, but my gf grab all of them all
forget to say one thing… the service is slow…..
hope they can improve more….
service is slow, nothing to shout out.
food quality, I prefer the one at Doerae
your photo is great……!!!! but their service is kind of slow during our last visit.
I love Korean food, especially the BBQ beef! But I hate the smell of smoke on my hair after wards.
The service is extremely slow. Food wise, not much choice available and not as good as Doarae. A badly managed restaurant overall. Would not go there anymore. Doarae is the much better one compared to Korea Palace. Do think twice if you are going to Korea Palace Krystal Point.
i agree with Kelvin. I just went there last Sun, not worth to spend my money for such slow service and low quality food. But no doubt the renovation is nice and grand.
