The Brasserie Executive Lunch at Traders Hotel
THIS IS A MULTI PAGE POST : 1 2 3
While we were dining for the Taste of Taiwan recently at the Traders Hotel, we stumbled upon this executive buffet lunch at The Braserrie. The deal looked good for the buffet spread served and eventually we decided to drop by this place to check it out.

Well, guess we made the right choice to try out The Brasserie Executive Lunch during on of our replacement holidays…

The Brasserie is located at the second floor of Traders Hotel. If you take the escalator next to The Islander, you should be able to see The Brasserie right in front of you.

The setting of The Brasserie is quite neat, simple yet elegant. Somehow, the environment could automatically make us “well-behaved” during the entire dining session, except during photography session of course.

What we like about placement of the food is the buffet spread that is located near the entrance. It was as if the buffet was readily greeting us as we walked past the entrance.

The appetizers include selection of crispy salads, cold dishes as well as soup of the day.

The unagi slices were slightly crisp and nice

The ones that made us happy most were sashimi as well as fresh oysters

Yes, we had fresh salmon and butter fish, coupled with fresh oyster to start off our tantalizing meal

We took quite a portion from these appetizers and judging by these three items, we can definitely say it is worth the bucks

We had a great time enjoying the appetizers until by the time the main course was served, we were more than half full already ![]()

So good to see they’ve got their act together again! The Brasserie used to be the place for my family to go on special occasions, birthdays and parents’ anniversaries, and we were gutted when they closed for a number of years. Agree it’s totally value for money! Those oysters!!
550ml jar of faith,
The fresh oysters keep calling on us that time….
Really miss those oysters!!
When I was there for lunch in December 08, there was a pianist in attendance. Lately ( my latest visit was in early June 09) I noticed that the piano was no more there. It was really nice to enjoy lunch with beautiful live music. Lately they have also removed the special desserts which we could order, like Peach Melba and Bomb Alaska. The Pasta station was also no more.
This is definitely one of my favorite places to have nice, leisurely lunch with a few friends. The service is always good and attentive. Well worth the price!! I will be there again soon!
Momo,
The piano was still there but without a pianist when we were there about two weeks. Well, the only music available was the background music.. might ask them if there will be any pianist around to play the music…
thought they have closed down? my family used to visit this place for lunch on our birthdays.
u guys really good to bring thos food to looks so delicious and tempting….. i love you blog and will go and try it out one day,
New Kid On The Blog,
If they’ve closed down before, one thing for sure…. they’ve re-opened and that’s why we could go there!! :D:D:D
suseh,
The credit goes to Huat Koay who’s improved on his shots on all the food photography….
We hope you like it~!
The desserts don’t really look that tempting
But the pudding looks cute, does it taste good?
allie,
It’s the appetizer and the main course that’s really captivating…. it’s buffet and desserts the only thing in your mind?
The pudding, if not mistaken, is a bread pudding…the top part of the pudding is covered with bread… this is quite a normal dessert available at almost any hotel buffet…
wei, tuapuis, executive lunch buffet wor? ane song? hmm… it definitely make me drool with those photo. OMG……..
Carlos,
Executive Lunch is a name given by Traders Hotel… To us, it’s still a semi-buffet lunch.. at the fine dining place… hehehehe
The photos just look marvelous, aren’t they?
This is one of the restaurant I like. But long time did not visit them liao. I think time for re-visit. I think they have reduce their price too. ^-^

has brasserie reopened? the rate of rm58 is nett or ++? have to make reservations?
lovetoeat,
Yes, it has definitely re-opened… that’s how we managed to capture these shots

RM58 is nett price for normal main course while chef’s special costs RM88 nett.
With or without reservation is fine but we do recommend you to make reservation to secure your seats
Indeed great to know that the brasserie is back for us…used to be the place for the family to gather for events.
ck lam,
a reminiscence… must have wonderful memories of it back then
Wow, this should be more worth than the Islander seafood buffet leh! Got sashimi & oysters to start off (which what we aim for in seafood buffet basically), and the main course normal choices also seem to be delicious. Btw, baby chicken = is it spring chicken?
cariso,
yes yes… sashimi and oysters were our target that time…no wonder we were more than half full before the main course served… hahahha
ermmm baby chicken = spring chicken… from the size of the chicken, it looked like it…
hello , i m new here ..
can i know how much the buffet lunch per person ? Thanks
hi Hill,
this is a semi-buffet, costs RM58nett or RM88nett for Chef’s Special.
Semi-buffet means the appetizers and dessert are free flow while the main dish is only single serving..
What camera are u holding? Superb pics and very nice presentations.
shell,
we’re using Nikon D60x with 35mm lens

CELCC,

Greeting =), it looks yummy!
Alicia,
