Balik Pulau Durian Makan Trip 1 - The Durian Stalls
We went for our first makan-makan durian trip last week to search for some great and delicious durians around Balik Pulau area. With the durian season already here, we are sure there are many durian lovers waiting to eat the delicious, pungent smell durians. Perhaps some of you had already makan the durians.

We just could not get enough visiting the first stop, the Cap Kaki Durian stall and keep venturing for more durians from different stalls as we drove towards Balik Pulau.

Musang King or Mau Sang Wong has just got famous recently. It has slight reddish flesh and very fragrant.

Our next stop after Cap Kaki Durian was Mr Ho’s durian store. It was just a simple stall setup unlike the first one.

This durian type is called hor lor or water gourd durian

We bought D11 durian from Mr Ho’s durian stall which was just about to ripe only.

D11 is quite an old brand, perhaps a champion from the past competition? The D11 durian cost around RM12 per kilo

This is the owner, Mr Ho.

After Mr Ho’s Durian Stall, it was Durian Stall 178.

This stall must be a fan of Astro’s Channel 333 (Hua Hee Dai) since the durian stall name is also 333.

If you ever think going to Balik Pulau is just too far… well, you can opt to stall within the town area. This place is around anson road near the Ban Chang Kueh stall during our early makan-makan trip. You can find some good durians here but always check the price upfront.

Lorong Susu off Macalister Road is another place to hunt for good durians at town area.

The durians were either sold off completely or had not arrived yet as it was quite early when we reached there.

So instead of durians, we got mangoes at that time…

Of course there are many more places that offer good durians which we are sure our readers have been patronizing for some time. Do let us know of your favourite durian stalls if you want to share with the readers here… Our next durian article will share with you another of our durian makan makan trip.
