Hawker Food | Relau Curry Fish Head
Went to this coffee shop because we were indecisive of where to eat. So the best place is hawker center or food court where you can get lots of varieties to choose from. The coffee shop is at Relau along Jalan Paya Terubong

Carrot milk and ambarella juice (or normally known as ambra asam juice)

This coffee shop is famous for their fish head curry and they use the claypot instead of normal bowl, just like the one at Lekker Claypot at Chai Leng Park. We normally ordered fish meat as we prefer that portion and with fish head, we would probably eat nothing satisfying. Maybe we do not know how to eat fish head.. hehehe

Ingredients given included lady’s fingers, onions, tomato, brinjal, garlic etc which were typical ones for fish curry. But the gravy was quite limited and barely filled up the claypot, unlike the one at Lekker or Sunshine Square Foodcourt.

There was strong curry paste but not enough gravy. Tam Ciak said he still prefered the Lekker Claypot one

The crispy fried sotong that was not crispy at all

There was more flour compared to the fried sotong we ate

sambal kangkung was just average, nothing special about it

We ordered hokkien mee as well as it seemed to be a “hot selling dish” in this coffee shop. Well, lots of people ordered it.

Typical hokkien mee with prawn shells based soup but the chili not that spicy. The noodles has the soda water taste which Tam Ciak quite disliked. So we had to order another one with bee hoon for him instead.

The curry gravy looks so little and not red enough. :p
