Penang Restaurant | Plus 2 Sungai Dua

Normally every Chinese Restaurant will have their specialty cuisine to attract customers, be it one signature dish or a line of dishes like Four Seasons Tea Restaurant with their Oyster Noodle and Pumpkin Chicken, Hainan Town Nyonya & Hainanese Restaurant with signature Jiu Hoo Char or even the Weld Quay Seafood’s fast delivery meals.

For Plus 2 Restaurant, we would normally come here for their Marmite Chicken. Marmite Chicken was basically chicken that cooked with marmite sauce. Yes, it was that black sauce that we used to eat with porridge while we were kids. The Marmite Chicken came with soft bread that tasted like mantou which you could dip for the Marmite sauce.

The Indonesian Prawns was another dish to order while you were dining here. We always had a complain that the portion was somehow smaller for our consumption yet we were always addicted by the thick gravy of this dish. Somehow, with this dish we tend to order extra place of rice each even though we were not much of rice lover.

As majority of the customers were students from USM, the price of the dishes here had to be valuable and affordable. This restaurant was in fact a favourite among the students and residents nearby due to its affordability. Quite a nice place for gathering as well if you are looking for reasonable dining and air conditioned environment.

I’ve always ended up ordering the wonton mee, which is amazing. The dumplings are soooo good. But when it comes to indon prawns, Double Good has the better indon prawns - their curry is simply delectable.
